What's new on Estq: September 2026
Home Quality scores on every EstqMate, a homeowner report you can download, bids without a sign-in wall, team logins for contractors, and a live pulse on the homepage.

September was a big month. Most of what shipped came straight from what homeowners and contractors told us they were missing: a clearer read on the home itself, a report you can actually keep, and fewer walls between you and a real bid. Here's the rundown.
Every EstqMate now scores the home
Open any EstqMate and you'll find a new Home Quality tab. It gives the property a Home Quality Index built from its characteristics, publicly available permit records, and documented improvements. It's designed to answer the question people ask right after the price: is this home in good shape?
It is not a home inspection, and it doesn't pretend to be. Think of it as the fast, data-backed first read before you pay for the slow, thorough one.
Already have an EstqMate? Reopen it. Home Quality was scored for existing estimates too.
A homeowner report you can download
EstqMates are now available as a PDF report. It's built for sharing: with a partner, a lender, an agent, or a contractor who wants the full picture before quoting. Every figure in the report now carries a confidence label, so you know which numbers rest on solid records and which are best estimates.
Homeowners who requested a quote through a contractor's widget also get an email when we find more information about the home, with a link back to the full report.
Request bids without signing in first
Estq Bids used to ask you to create an account before you could describe your project. That's gone. Walk through the whole conversation as a guest, describe the work, see the AI price range, and only sign in at the moment you send the request to contractors. Your answers carry over.
Team logins for contractors
Contractor accounts can now have more than one login. The owner invites teammates by email, and every member sees incoming leads and bid requests. No more sharing one password around the office.
Widget and quote pages
Rebates now show up inside the embeddable widget, so a homeowner sees available incentives right next to the price.
The widget's address search is biased toward your service area, and the placeholder text reflects where you work.
Hosted quote pages at estq.io/quote-yourname got a decision-first redesign with a sticky call to action, for contractors who'd rather link than embed.
A live pulse on the homepage
The homepage map now has a strip along the bottom showing the latest activity across Estq: new bid requests open for contractors, freshly published EstqProjects, and EstqMates people just generated. City and state only, never an address. It updates on its own, and contractors can jump straight from an open request to their bids dashboard.
Smaller things worth knowing
Smart search: one box on the homepage handles both addresses and equipment or job searches.
Map pins no longer stack into unreadable piles in dense neighborhoods.
Password reset works the same way for homeowners, contractors, and admins.
Subscription management moved into your profile, including plans bought through the iOS app.
Signing in with an email address is no longer case-sensitive.
